I'd say we should make this kind of update only if the post is actively misleading in its "obsolete" form - for example, I don't think it really matters that there's a question saying "South African captain Hashim Amla" when he's no longer the captain; people will perfectly well understand that he was captain when the post was written and he's not any more. ...

Addressing an erroneous premise of the question is part of what a great answer should do. The question is historical and should be kept from that perspective, with answers added or updated to reflect the change of FIFA opinion and regulations, as well as note that this change is (currently) quite recent.
